It all seemed peaceful until the alien nation attacked and turned the four spirit nations (fire, water, earth, and air) evil. It is up to you, a neutral spirit, to defeat the evil spirits possessing the four spirit nations, to turn them back to their normal, peaceful selves before the world falls into chaos.

Creators: Jayden (Age 17) and Galaxy (Age 17) from Vancouver, BC.

How to play: The game is similar to Space Invaders except strategy is a key part of defeating the bosses and your main goal is to save the four spirit nations from the evil alien nation's possession. Each boss has their own unique abilities, so you will have to adjust your play style accordingly to defeat them. Use the WASD keys to move around and the spacebar to shoot. The rest will be explained in the in-game tutorial.

Theme: Our submission relates to the theme "Fire, Water, Earth, and Air" because each spirit nation boss has their own move sets and designs based on their element. Fire has a more intense feeling and is more punishing if you get hit. Water is calm and has a slower pace compared to the rest. Earth is centred around life, so healing is a major component of their nation. Air is relaxing yet eerie simultaneously, and will become dangerous when you strike at the wrong moment.

Challenges: The challenges we faced included the limited time we had to complete our game, so we had to decide what essentials we needed for our game, and which parts we could implement later if we had more time. Another challenge we faced was the hitbox of the bosses was not working as intended, so we had to find a way to fix it as best we could.

Highlights: The best parts of our game would definitely be our design of the bosses and the gameplay for each boss considering we only had two weeks to finish the project. In addition, the tutorial is something we are proud of because we took the most time on it to make it the best it could be.
