Madison - 16 years old, Sophia - 16 years old, Isabel - 15 years old. We attend Harbord Collegiate Institute and are from Toronto, Canada.

Experience the sequel of our favourite game Elemental Eats, in our new game Elemental Star!

After restoring peace to the world, our hero chef must return to his once blooming restaurant, with the hopes of getting it back to its former glory. To do so, he must complete orders for all 4 elemental lords, earning new ingredients and building his cooking skills along the way. He must use these ingredients to create a new dish that will impress The Critic, capable of rewarding our chefs restaurant with the incredible “Elemental Star” that’ll save his restaurant once more.

In the first level, you must create a burger following the recipe on the counter; WASD to move and click to touch objects (your circular highlight must be hovering over it.) In the second level, use WASD to move and click to throw your spoon, much like the first level in Elemental Eats. In the last level, press space to use your hammer and hover/click to press buttons.

Elemental Star relates to the theme due to it immediately following the events of our most recent game. Many characters will return from Elemental Eats… as well as a few others from our older projects!

The most challenging part of creating this game was designing our creative new levels, which brought forth new coding challenges. Our set/room designs, which featured many new pieces of art (that were very time consuming to make). Finally, the short period of time we had to create this game mixed with our time management. After the intense creating of Elemental Eats during regionals, many of us felt burnt out and lacked motivation to continue. However, even though it was difficult, we fought through and managed to complete our final game.

The highlights of creating this game were getting to work all together as a team. This entire competition, the three of us have bonded through the (stressful) learning journey that has been the SFU Coding League. This game has been bittersweet, as it marks the end of our first competition as Mizzie Mice. The three of us have worked tirelessly over the last couple months, and while we are happy that the stress is done, we are sad to say goodbye to the current era of Mizzie Mice. We hope you enjoyed our sequel, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to represent our school in the first year (ever) of the SFU Coding League.
