ShootR is a sequel to our previous project, BendR. To control the game use WASD, Space to dash, plus the mouse to aim around. Left click to fire and right click to change weapons. In ShootR the objective is to beat all the bosses and get to the end. You get money for vanquishing foes, and you can use that money to upgrade your attributes.

Our game relates to the theme in the sense that it is a direct sequel to our previous game. It adds some new mechanics, enemy types, weapons. Really all that you could ask for from a sequel. More of what worked in the original. In the 1st game, we were unfortunately unable to implement a story into it, leading the story to be told in this here description. It seems that the exact same scenario has unfortunately occurred. The story would've been as follows: After slaying the elementals, nature receded from the lands causing everything to decay and become decrepit. Fendr, the protagonist of the previous game becomes corrupted by the power of the elementals and now rules over the remains of the world. It's up to you, the unnamed main character(and her friends), to put a stop to Fendr and restore the elements to the world!

There were many challenges that came with this project:
We had many deadlines on top of the project. School finals are coming up + graduation deadlines and fees. These all slowed development down as well as increased the levels of stress that our team had.
Our team also had many bouts with sickness during development. Every member got sick at least one time during production.
This lead to much of the game being crunched out. Entire features and levels were cut out. We were down to the wire adding things in before the deadline. The most notable cut comes in the fashion of the slot machine which was to take the place of the 2nd house at the bottom of the hub area. Many other things had to cut for time as well, unfortunately playtesting was one of those things.

All-in-all, we can respect the final product. We hope that you, the player, can enjoy this sequel, even though it could've been better in the end.
